You can either browse through the homes in the exhibition or you can look at specific homes arranged alphabetically in the list below.

 

 

A few words of caution:

Some of the children's homes which were started in the 1950s, 1960s and later are still functioning as children's homes. Because we want to protect the privacy and security of these existing homes, we have not been able to include name or location. Instead, they are to be found under the general area in which they are based, for example Yardley children's home.

While the information is correct to the best of our knowledge, mistakes are always possible.
